GUT HEALTH · GASTRITIS AND H. PYLORI
Nutritionist for gastritis and H. pylori in Lisbon and online
Burning in the upper stomach, nausea, feeling full after a few mouthfuls. Gastritis has several causes, and H. pylori is only one of them. Finding yours decides how the lining heals.

Does this sound like you?
If several of these are familiar, you're in the right place.
Burning or gnawing pain in the upper stomach
Feeling full after a few mouthfuls
Nausea, often in the morning
Belching and upper bloating
Reflux that acid blockers only partly help
Iron deficiency nobody can explain
Still unwell after H. pylori treatment
What causes gastritis
Symptoms don't reflect how damaged the lining is. That's why the cause has to be found, not guessed.
H. pylori
A common infection that inflames the stomach and lowers iron and B12.
Medication
Anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen damage the stomach lining.
Stress
Chronic stress reduces the stomach's protective mucus and blood flow.
Alcohol and irritants
They add damage to a lining that's already inflamed.
Autoimmunity
Autoimmune gastritis slowly destroys acid-producing cells, and often causes B12 deficiency.
How I find the cause
Every assessment is personal. I start with your story and the results you already have, and only add what will change the plan.
Your full story
Symptoms, history, medication and everything you've already tried.
Your existing results
I go through any recent results you bring, in detail.
Testing only when it changes the plan
No standard package. If more information is needed, I'll explain why.
Alongside your doctor
Medical causes are ruled out first, with your doctor when needed.
How we treat it
Over four months, with a consultation roughly every month and the plan adjusted as you improve.
1
Remove what's damaging the lining
Medication review, alcohol and other irritants.
2
Support treatment
If H. pylori is confirmed, your doctor prescribes eradication. I support tolerance and recovery.
3
Repair the lining
Nutrition and targeted nutrients for the stomach lining.
4
Correct deficiencies
B12 and iron above all.
5
Reassess at three months
Confirm clearance, and investigate if symptoms persist.
Two ways to start
Most people start with a first consultation. If you already know you want the full programme, you can book it directly.
